Continue dating someone
with questionable character?

QUESTION:

I find it difficult to get a solution to this. I am dating this guy who came to depend on me for help. He needs a job and we are living together now. I know I need God to save me from this situation, but I then I find myself having sex with him and it's harder to leave. Also, his manner of living makes me uncomfortable. Most of the time I become angry and react and this often leads to tension.

According to my desire if God can change him and we get married. The relationship is not okay for, what should I do?

ANSWER:

Rosaline:

Based on the information in your email, my advice to you is to get out - now. End the relationship. Your boyfriend is using you for money and sex. He will probably soon be beating you. In the meantime, you are committing adultery by having sex with him. You are making yourself a whore, except you are paying him by giving him a place to live and food to eat. You are correct. The relationship is not okay.

Rosaline, you have a desire to seek God by coming to this website. You are an important person to God, with a tender heart toward doing right. I pray for your welfare. No one deserves to be abused like you are being treated. You deserve more.

Find yourself a good man, and deepen your relationship with God through Jesus Christ. All the best to you, and may God protect you and give you blessing.
